Virtual Library and History of the Corn Islands Presented in Managua
The Corn Islands Virtual Library was invited to deliver a lecture on Saturday, August 23, at the National Palace of Culture in Managua, on the history and culture of the Corn Islands, in commemoration of the 184th anniversary of the emancipation from slavery.
During the event, the Corn Islands Virtual Library and Museum was also presented, where attendees had the opportunity to learn about this project and its platform, which aims to preserve the historical memory of Great Corn Island and Little Corn Island.
We extend our gratitude to the National Institute of Culture for the invitation, as well as to the participants for their interest in learning about and valuing our identity.
