Autonomy Day 2024

 

Today marks the 37th anniversary of the Autonomy Regime of Nicaragua’s Caribbean Coast, a milestone celebrating self-governance and preserving our unique identity and rich cultural heritage. This anniversary honours the strength of our Afro-descendant, Indigenous, and mestizo communities, whose histories and traditions form the heart of our region.

Reflecting on our past helps ensure that future generations carry pride in their roots. By sharing our stories and promoting our identity, we protect the diversity and resilience that define us. Let us continue to celebrate and uphold the legacy of our Caribbean Coast for years to come.
