Corn Islands Legend: The Weeping Woman
Legend has it that in Brig Bay, in the sector of Jack Jelly Point, residents would hear the sound of a woman yelling and crying after dark.
She would weep and walk all around this sector, through the mangroves in the swamp and on the seashore from Mosquitoes Point to Jack Jelly Point.
People say that she’s looking for her son, a baby that was stolen by savage pirates, with whom they performed a sacrifice for the child to watch their gold that was buried near this sector.
