Corn Islands Legend: Mr. Bent
Mr. Ben was an old man that used to live on the island.
Every year, on Judas Night —which was the night after Good Friday and that was dedicated to hiding people's belongings— there were always a group of bad boys who used to enjoy themselves hiding people’s belongings until they would find it the following day—on Sunday morning.
Mr. Bent had a dory that he cherishes so much. Aware of what takes place every year on Judas Night, he decided to sleep in his dory with a bone arrow to avoid these boys from taking and hiding his dory.
The man was so tired that he fell asleep inside his dory, little after the boys came and lift up the dory with Mr. Bent inside sleeping and took it to one of the island's swamps.
When Mr. Ben woke up he found himself floating in the swamp in his dory.
