Corn Islands Legend: The Hog with the Chain Around His Neck

Grandpa! Grandpa! Shout a frightened little boy, what happened?! Asked the grandfather, barely breathing the boy told him: When I was coming from the shop, I heard something walking behind me and I started to walk faster and faster and faster. When I looked behind me, I saw a giant black hog with a chain hanging around his neck, with his eyes red as blood and it was chasing me. 

The hog is caring for a pirate's treasure who couldn't find a human soul to watch it. So, he killed the hog and buried it along with his treasure, that is why every evening as the sun begins to set the hog with the chain around his neck comes out to scare anyone who goes close to where the treasure is buried.
