Corn Islands Legend: The Hog with the Chain Around His Neck

Grandpa! Grandpa! Shout a frightened little boy, what happened?! Asked the grandfather, barely breathing, the boy told him: When I was coming from the shop, I heard something walking behind me and I started to walk faster and faster and faster. When I looked behind me, I saw a giant black hog with a chain hanging around its neck, with its eyes red as blood, and it was chasing me.

The hog is caring for a pirate's treasure, who couldn't find a human soul to watch it. So, he killed the hog and buried it along with his treasure, which is why every evening as the sun begins to set, the hog with the chain around its neck comes out to scare anyone who goes near to where the treasure is buried.
