Maypole of the Nicaragua Caribbean Coast (2007)

Summary


The present document on the MayPole celebration is the product of an investigation carried out by Johnny Hodgson Deerings based on consultation in books and historical documents of the first churches established on the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua and especially based on interviews or writings of Caribbean scholars, mainly from Bluefields, on this subject such as Donovan Brautigam Beer, Lizzie Nelson, Hugo Sujo Wilson and others.
