Three Years of the Corn Islands Virtual Library Platforms
Today, 1 May, marks three years since the launch of The Corn Islands Virtual Library platforms, a significant milestone following the project’s foundation on 19 August 2021.
Through the Virtual Library and its Virtual Museum, we have been able to archive, protect, and promote the historical memory, heritage, and culture of the Corn Islands of Caribbean Nicaragua.
Just between December 2024 and 2025, our website welcomed over 74,000 visitors from more than ten countries, reflecting a growing digital presence that allows us to share our islands’ identity with the world.
As we enter May, the month of the Maypole, we renew our commitment to preserving and promoting our culture for present and future generations. We remain deeply grateful to all who have contributed to safeguarding our identity.
