Statement on the passing of Mrs. Lorna Hodgson

The Corn Islands Virtual Library extends its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Mrs Lorna Hodgson, affectionately known as Miss Nana, who passed away today.

Mrs Lorna was a prominent figure in the Corn Islands' Creole community and contributed significantly through her narratives and declaimed poems to conserve our islands' ancestral heritage.

We express our gratitude for her life and the wealth of knowledge she shared. Rest in peace, Miss Nana!
